Pool Party

This week was the Page Ward Pool Party at the Payson Pool (say that one 5 times fast!) and Tegan's first time swimming! We recruited Jessica to come with us to help keep an eye on our little water babies! Tegan looked so stinking cute in his little swim outfit!
This was Tegan's first dip into the water...it was 7:30 at night so the water was a little bit cold but he did surprisingly well! We put him in his little floaty and took a few trips down the lazy river. Finally he started to get cold and tired so we decided it was time to get out and warm up!

While Tegan and I dried off Jessica, Pax, and Andy floated the lazy river...

And braved the big water slides!!

Once Tegan was warm again he crashed...

And before long Paxton was shivering and his lips were turning blue so we knew it was time to head home! After fun nights like this I always wish we would have made it to the pool more during the summer...then I drove by today and there was about a million people there and I remembered why I like the ward pool party so much...lots fewer people and so much more fun!!

Tegan*4 Months

Tegan turned 4 months old on August 13th! He has grown so much in the past month...he is such a sweet, loving, funny boy! His funny personality is starting to come out! He is happy all of the time unless he is hungry and we can easily get him to laugh just by smiling at him. He definitely has a feisty side...when he is hungry he will let you know and when he wants some attention he will definitely let you know it!!
We took him to the doctor for his 4 month well check and were not too surprised to learn that he is big for his age! He currently weighs 16 pounds 6 ounces (78%) and is 27 inches long (97%)! Tegan is doing much better at holding his head up and loves to sit in him bumbo and in between the couch cushions. He loves eating and is starting to play with toys especially the ones on his activity mat! He also loves cuddling, kisses, and his brother!
Tegan does not love tummy time, when we try to make him practice rolling over, and not getting attention! We just love having T in our family and can't wait to see what our little chubbers learns to do this next month!!

Sevier County Fair

While we were in Richfield last weekend we decided to go check out the sights at the Sevier County Fair. Unfortunately we were too late to see all of the farm animals but we did catch the Australian Zoo Animal Show, the exhibit hall and the fair food! They had a little kids zone where the kids could participate in a bunch of different farm activities!

Paxton got to feed the cow...
Play in the corn...

He was supposed to gather eggs from the chickens but he was afraid of them...

and ride the tractor (he preferred to ride it like this rather than sit on the seat!)

He really wanted to climb on the big tractor but finally settled for taking a picture with it!

The best part of the fair...the food!! Andy bought himself a treat and only got to take one bite before Paxton took it over and chowed it down...there is nothing that says small town county fair like fried Twinkies!!

Our 3rd Anniversary

Andy and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary on August 9th!! That weekend we got brave and decided to take the boy to Grandma and Grandpa's house so that we could enjoy a night away! Our destination...Manti, Utah!! We couldn't go too far away from the boys!

On the way to Manti, just before Gunnison, we heard a big crash and wouldn't you know our luck...a huge rock came out of no where and smashed into our windshield causing a shattered windshield and a car full of glass! We didn't know what to do so we just continued on to Manti thinking maybe we could find someone to fix it. After making a few phone calls we were informed that no one in the valley carries foreign windshields so we would have to live with it for the weekend! We stayed at a victorian bed and breakfast in Manti called the Yardley Inn and Spa. It is an old renovated pioneer house that was built in the 1800's.
We got to enjoy alot of fun things as part of our stay. One of them being a tour of Manti the old school way...by horse and carriage!

One of my favorite stops The Manti Temple!!

We also enjoyed some luxurious massages by Heaven's Angels...the ladies were literally dressed in angel's robes! I was so relaxed by the end of the 90 minute massage I could barely walk up the stairs!! We also enjoyed 2 quiet meals, time to catch up with each other, and a quiet night sleep!!

Now that we know we are brave enough to leave the boys for 1 night, we hope to make it a point to get away for our anniversary every year...maybe someday we will make it back to the Yardley Inn and Spa!!

Crashed...

Last Wednesday (July 28th) Andy and Paxton left on a few quick errands to the hardware store and then to Little Ceasers Pizza to pick up some dinner. They had been gone about a half hour when I got the phone call that every wife/mother dreads..."Come to Little Ceasers, I've been in a accident." I packed up Tegan and rushed down there praying that they were both ok...Andy was obviously a little shaken up but physically ok and Paxton was totally unaffected, happily sucking on the sucker he had got at the hardware store! A lady driving behind Andy obviously wasn't paying attention and didn't notice him slowing down, putting on his blinker, and pulling into the drive in at Little Ceasers and tried to pull in the same time he did...I think she was trying to beat him into the drive though. She continues to claim that it was Andy's fault even though she was deemed at fault and given a ticket.

So now the drama begins...dealing with insurance, having the car in the shop for who knows how long, buying new carseats for the boys, and the general inconvenience of dealing with situations like these!

We are so greatful that Andy and Paxton were uninjured in the accident...they definitely had someone watching over them!!
