Most of the time he is so sweet and innocent but our little guy is turning into quite a troublemaker. Here are some of the things that he has been into lately...
He loves the vents...loves them!! He likes to stick his fingers in them and now that we have the AC on he likes to lay right on top of them or blow on them.
When we get out his toys in the morning he is not satisfied unless EVERYTHING is out for him to play with. His favorite toy in that pile...our old TV remote!
We recently bought him a walker, he loves it but unfortunately it is the same height as the garbage can...normally I am pretty quick to shut the laundry room door but Pax was super speedy yesterday and had the garbage knocked down and spread around before I could even get there.
He has also mastered pulling himself up to the toy box that is in our family room. Now he can not only pull himself up to it but he can also climb on top of it which typically results in him falling off.

Memorial Day 2010
Andy was lucky enough to get Memorial Day off this year so we were able to spend sometime with his family. About 8:00 Sunday night we decided we were going to have a practice camp out in the back yard to see how Paxton would do! Unfortunately we picked the windiest night of the year and ended up only making it for 2 hours before we got too cold and went inside. Paxton slept the whole time totally oblivious to what was going on or where he was so maybe we will survive camping (on a warm night) after all!
The next day I reluctantly agreed to hiking with Andy's family. They had wanted to hike to Timpanogos Cave but unfortunately when we got there it was a 3 hour wait. We ended up driving up the canyon to Tibble Fork Reservoir and hiking a few smaller hikes around the lake!
Andy definitely got his exercise that day!
Paxton loved hiking!
It is easy when you get to be carried and eat cookies and drink ice water...I think I would love hiking if I got that kind of treatment!
Don't worry this is before we started...that's why I still have a smile on my face. Two hours later I'm sure I didn't look so pleasant!
We had the family over later that night for a barb-e-que at our house! Andy did a great job cooking and we played some fun games of lasso golf and dodgeball.

10 Months Old...
Paxton turns 10 months old on the 12th! It has been a busy month at the Hamberlin's...Paxton is a pretty busy boy and is learning new things everyday!
He continues to have pretty bad allergies...this was his first time sitting outside on the grass and as soon as we went inside he broke out in a pretty bad rash. It looks like we are back on our daily dose of Zyrtec.
Pax is obsessed with his books...he has a huge basket of board books in his room and is continually tipping it over, pulling out the books, and flipping through the pages. He can't get enough. Right now he loves Peek a Book books (especially his favorite kitty Summer). He loves to give kisses to all of the animals and people on the pages. He loves animals...especially animal noises. He also is loves singing and dancing. His favorite songs are Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and Slippery Fish. He is babbling more and has learned some new sounds including F and S. He also says Da Da and Hi pretty consistently.
We have started the baby proofing at our house! Paxton is starting to pull himself up to everything...the other day we sat there and watched him stand up in his crib and then we immediately moved the mattress down. We also had to get a baby gate because he is all over the house. He is still too lazy to crawl on his hands and knees and just prefers to army crawl or walk with Mom or Dad's help. He may just skip crawling all together. He has learned how to wave and is so stinkin proud of himself...he waves to everybody and everything with a huge grin on his face! We are also working on clapping and blowing kisses but he just giggles every time we try to get him to do it.
Paxton has gotten into some pretty bad sleeping habits lately. Anytime he gets too close to the top, bottom or sides of the crib he just cries until we come in and move him back to the middle and cover him back up. At first he was waking up about 5 times a night but, after letting him fix the problem himself a few times, he now only wakes up once or twice a night. Lately he has decided that he prefers sleeping like this...
We have also been working on Paxton's eating this month. He loves to drink ice water but only out of a cup with no lid or straw so we go through a few outfits a day after he (or mostly Dad) soaks him with ice water! He still isn't really into baby food...one day he will like it and the next day he won't want a thing to do with it so we have decided to just let him eat more real food. He has tried alot of new things...pancakes, pickles, french fries, ice cream, strawberries, bananas, bread, noodles, popsicles, and more!

Sadly byu blue :( :(
Out with the old...
In with the new!!
Explorer...you were good to us for many years but we most definitely will not miss:
- Your constantly blinking check engine light
- The shaking and shuttering when you were idling at a stoplight
- The many months that all of the doors were broken...some you could only open from the inside, some from the outside
- Your lack of armrests on the drivers side and passenger side doors...oh wait don't forget the little screw that scratched my arm every time I tried to find somewhere to rest it
- Your heater...that would only work on defrost and AC that only worked on max Ac
- The daily stress of wondering whether Andy would make it home at night or if I was going to have to go rescue him from the side of the freeway
We love the new car! Only downside:
- BYU blue

Being 9 Months Old is Exhausting!!
9 months old already...
Paxton has grown up so much this month. We took him for his 9 month well check visit yesterday, he had actually lost a pound from being sick with allergies and another ear infection. He weighed in at 17 pounds 6 ounces (65%) and was 28 inches tall (50%)!
and it is exhausting!!
He has learned quite a few new skills:
His new favorite sound is B and all day long we hear BA BA BA BA
He loves to give real kisses to mom and fake kisses to dad...fake because they usually end up with Paxton biting his dad's cheeck
He has graduated to a big boy car seat but can't quite figure out it he likes it or not. He just can't seem to get the sleeping thing down
He still only army crawls and is more interested in walking than real crawling. He can walk super well when he is holding onto our fingers walking with us and today he made his first attempt at walking behind a walking toy
He is starting to stand up against the couch and in his crib but only when we put him there...luckily he can't get up on his own yet
