Weekend in Review

Friday night we headed over to BYU to watch my cousin Erin play volleyball. She is a freshman at The University of Utah and starts for their volleyball team. The game was super fun and the U won! Paxton was not so sure about the whole thing at first but once the music started and the crowd started going crazy he really got into it. Andy took him to the BYU football game last week and said he loved it! He is such a people watcher so being in a big crowd of people was so fun for him!
Saturday we headed down to Richfield to enjoy conference weekend with my family. Of course we had to check up on our Homer...
He has gotten so big since we last saw him. Paxton loves to give him hugs and kisses. Pax also learned a new work this weekend...soft. I think he heard us say "be soft" about a thousand times this weekend...he may know how to say the word but he still didn't really get what it means!

Homer is so cute...he is a super mellow, sensitive, and a little bit scared of Paxton's hugs and kisses! We are excited to bring him home in the next couple of weeks!!

**You also probably noticed we added a little something to our blog! We are excited to be adding another baby to our family in April. As our doctor said "If you want the pine trees to grow straight you've got to plant them close together" so I guess that is what we are doing. Paxton and this baby will be 21 months apart. We were are really excited that baby#2 is due on April 20...6 weeks before school gets out. That means I will be able to take my maternity leave and then have the entire summer off to spend with my kids!

Go Utes!!

Last year we celebrated the start of football season by taking cute pictures of Paxton in his Utes blanket...This year Andy celebrated the start of football season by spraypainting a few big U's on our garage wall...awesome.

I guess no one will ever have to guess who we root for in this house!!

Umm...I think we have a problem

Paxton is being such a stinker about walking. He can walk around furniture and all of his toys and will walk as long as he is holding onto your finger or pant leg but he refuses to do it on his own. Andy has walking practice with him everyday and Paxton just screams and cries.

Apparently he has figured out that he doesn't need to walk as long as he can climb. These pictures are from this weekend alone!!

He climbed up on the table by himself...many times! Apparently now his walker is just a stepping stool...
And now that he knows how to climb out of his walker we often find him like this...
I don't know what we are going to do with this kid!!

Hot Dogs & ATV's

Last weekend we got to go with the Hales' and the Hamberlin's up Diamond Fork for a little hot dog roast and ATVing. We ate lots of good food...
Paxton could not get enough of Marley...
He really liked throwing rocks in the river although I don't think his rocks actually made it to the river...

And we got to break out the 4-wheeler!!

I know we are a little behind the times this year...summer is almost over!

Paxton's New Buddy

We went to Richfield this weekend to meet Paxton's new buddy...Homer...that's right Andy named him but he is fat and lazy and eats all day long so I guess it is fitting! My mom's dog Gracie had 2 puppies last week and we are planning on keeping this little guy.

We are excited for Homer to join our family!!

What Have I Done?

We decided that Paxton's bangs were getting a little crazy and since he had reached that year milestone we could finally give them a little trim. No need for a professional...how hard could it be to trim a wiggly one year olds bangs? Apparently a lot harder than I thought!!

Not only are they totally crooked but a little bit short...
Luckily we usually do a little side swoop so as long as we make sure that it stays put nobody notices...next time we will leave the hair cutting up to the professionals!!
