1 Month Old

Tegan turned one month old on Friday May 13th!! I can't believe how fast the past month has flown by! Tegan is such a great baby...he eats like a champ and sleeps soundly no matter what is going on around him!Currently Tegan eats every 2 hours during the day and every 4 at night. He weighs 9 pounds 1 ounce (31%) and is 23 inches long (84%.)

We went to my mom's house this weekend and forgot to take the pack & play...so we found the next best thing!
Tegan is a super cuddly baby and loves to be held...I swear I could just spend all day holding him while he sleeps.

He is growing so fast and has grown out of most of his tiny newborn clothes and is now in 0-3 months and wearing size one diapers!

He loves his binky, cuddling, and his brother! Paxton loves Tegan...alot. The first thing he says in the morning is "Hi Te-a" (that's what he calls him) and he loves to kiss him and grab his hand and dance with him.

We love this little man and feel so lucky to have him as a part of our family!

Paxton's "Big Boy" Room

One of the things I insisted get done before we had Tegan was to get the junk/craft room cleaned out so that we could move Paxton into his new big boy room. I am not usually big on rooms with themes but we found a whole bunch of wooden animals for like $1.00 each at a craft sale in Richfield and decided we would do a jungle animal theme room. As you can see Paxton LOVES his new room! My mom and sister found this toddler bed at the DI for $40 and I made a new blanket to put on it.
These are some of the animals that we bought and I made the alphabet and numbers pictures on the Cricut.

A cute shelf with more animals and some of Paxton's stuff!

More of the animals and some cute pictures of Paxton when he was younger.

Decorating Paxton's room was so fun! He loves to play in there, read his books, take his clothes out of the dresser and hide in the closet. One thing he doesn't love to do in there...SLEEP...nope he still sleeps in the crib in Tegan's room. He won't fall asleep in his bed and when he does sleep in there he wakes up in the middle of the night and wanders around the house. We had to babygate the stairs because we were afraid we wouldn't hear him and he would be walking around in the dark and fall down the stairs.

Oh well...someday right?

Tegan's First Real Bath

Tegan's umbilical cord finally fell off so we were able to give him his first real bath last night! He looks calm in this picture but really he was not very happy about the whole thing... He finally calmed down and decided that the bath was not so bad...
Until it was time to get out! No this is not a smile, it is the beginning of this very little boy's very big...

SCREAM!!

Finally he got dried off, lotioned up, and dressed for bed and was our happy little Tegan again!!

Paxton's New Tricks

Paxton has gotten a little bit naughty since Tegan was born. He has discoved new ways to get attention from his parents when he is feeling left out. His favorite attention getting methods include turning on and off the TV, throwing his food on the floor, kissing and dancing (holding Tegan's hand and dancing) with the baby and now this...

Doesn't look one bit sorry does he...

Good thing there were no surprises for me in that diaper!

Easter 2011

We enjoyed a rainy Easter weekend this year!!

We had an Easter lunch and egg hunt at Jacob and Salena's house the Saturday before Easter and unfortunately just as we started to hide the eggs...the rain started! That didn't stop the kids from finding baskets full of eggs and treats. Paxton didn't seem to mind the rain and after watching the big kids quickly caught on to the whole egg hunt idea and found about 15 eggs before I made him come inside.
He was pretty excited to discover that those colorful plastic eggs contained one of his favorite things...CANDY!! He was especially excited to find Hersey's kisses and went around to all of his cousins baskets looking for more chocolate kisses!

Tegan pretty much did what he does best...slept though all the noise and chaos!

Because Andy had to work during the family egg hunt, we decided to let Paxton do another one in our house on Easter morning. He was excited to find the eggs and even more excited to find more treats!

He got some fun surprises from the Easter Bunny...lots of treats he has already eaten, books he has already started to destroy, and golf clubs he thinks are swords!!

Tegan's First Week

I can't believe Tegan is already a week old!! It has been an interesting week trying to get used to having a newborn in the house again! Luckily Tegan is such a good baby that it hasn't been too stressful! Here are a few pictures of Tegan from his first week of life!

Such a small little boy for such a big carseat!!

Our beautiful son just chillin at the hospital...I know I an a little biased but I think he is such a pretty baby (am I allowed to call a boy pretty?)
He is a great sleeper, which I am so grateful for, but when he is awake he is wide awake and so alert. He will just lay on the couch and look around at all of us...I'm sure he is thinking "What in the world did I get myself into?" Oh and did I mention he LOVES his binkie. He started off being a really good eater but lately we have been struggling a little bit...I blame the binkie! Hopefully we will be get ourselves back on track soon!
We are so grateful to finally have Tegan here safe and sound and are excited to see what the future brings for him and our family!
