Tegan*11 Months

Tegan is 11 months old!!  He currently weights in at 22 pounds and is wearing size 18-24 month clothes (the clothes Paxton just barely grew out of!)  Such a big boy!  He has definitely grown up a lot in the past few weeks...he is standing up to everything and climbing around all of the furniture but I don't think he will be walking anytime soon!

He has become quite a mess maker!  It doesn't help much that he has a big brother that encourages and helps create these messes!  One day it will be toilet paper, the next day he will be rearranging my pantry, the next day emptying his drawers...the cycle goes on and on!
He is still a big eater!  He loves food...we have yet to find something that he won't eat!  He really likes table food right now especially cut up fruit, mac and cheese, graham crackers, cereal, and just about anything else that we give him!
A funny Tegan story...the other day I put him down for his morning nap fully clothed and ready to go.  A few hours later I heard him talking to himself in his bed...I was folding laundry so I decided to leave him in there.  I yelled in there "Tegan, I am folding laundry just a minute."  Well he must have understood what I was doing because when I went in to get him he was in the process of getting himself undressed!  Such a smart boy!

Paxton at 2 1/2

Now that Paxton is 2 1/2 years old I decided that it was time for an update about our funny little man!
I can't even begin to describe how much we love having Paxton in our family!  He is such a great kids and after a long day at work his funny little personality is the best thing to come home to!  He always has something entertaining to say, lately it has been things like "chill out" or "check this out" or "that's messed up!"  He is always coming up with something new to entertain us!  Recently he has decided that he no longer likes his bedroom and prefers to sleep on the couch.  I have been learning to pick my battles with him and that was not a battle I wanted to fight out...well a month later and he still refuses to sleep anywhere but the couch.  He has also decided that he prefers pajamas to real clothes and spends most days in decked out in his favorite pj's
One thing that I have loved about this age is watching him learn new things!  Paxton can count to 13, point to and name all of his body parts, do a bunch of animal sounds, sing all of his favorite songs, and recite a bunch of his favorite books.  It seems like everyday he learns something new and we are so excited for him to start preschool next year and keep on learning!
One thing he has not mastered is potty training...what can I say about potty training.  I think he could probably do it but it is just hard to be consistent when I work all day so for right now we are shooting for after school and weekends and hopefully by the end of spring break we will be down to 1 kid in diapers!
Paxton is still a little on the short side but is finally starting to gain weight!  He is currently at 27 1/2 pounds (not even sure it is on the charts but hey it's progress right!!)  He is doing so much better at eating...and has even eaten all of his dinner a few times in the past month.  His favorite foods right now are: chocolate milk, pedisure shakes, pizza, breadsticks, popcorn, chips, "french fries and chicken," cheese, and apples.
Paxton currently loves: nursery, playing with his cousins, watching his shows (anything on the Disney Channel) pajamas, reading books, singing his favorite songs, b-balls, sword fights, trains, coloring, and his brother!

Tegan *10 Months

Tegan is 10 months old already!!
Tegan is growing up so fast and we are starting to see glimpses of his little personality coming through!  Tegan is definitely a munch mouth.  This boy will eat anything and everything (such a night and day difference from his brother) his favorites being pancakes, graham crackers, pears, and ice cream.  Recently we have discovered that he gets a stomach ache when he eats ice cream at night so no more ice cream for this little boy!  He currently weights about 21 lbs 6 ounces and is wearing anywhere from 12 month to 18 month clothes.
Tegan has also learned alot of new things this past month!  He is crawling on all 4's now, can pull himself up to any piece of furniture in our house, and is walking around the couch.  Last night we got out the stand behind walker and were surprised that he could balance it pretty easily and could even walk back and forth between me and Andy.  I don't know for sure if I am ready for 2 boys running around this house!
Tegan currently loves: eating, picking on his brother, singing songs (especially if it involves clapping his hands), reading books, playing with any toy that makes noise, playing with his brother, cuddling with mom or dad to go to sleep, taking long baths, and walks in the stroller!

Tegan*9 Months

I can not believe that this little man is 9 months old already!!  Time is flying by and our little baby is definitely not a baby anymore!  Here is a little bit about Tegan at 9 months.
We took Tegan to his 9 month well check and he weighed in at 20 pounds 5 ounces (40%) and was 29 3/4 inches tall (90%) and as healthy as can be!!  He has had 2 ear infections in the past 2 months so we are playing the waiting game to see if they continue.  Tegan currently wears 12-18 month clothes and is quickly growing out of those...
Tegan has gotten quite mobile the past month.  He is still army crawling everywhere (although his army crawl looks more like he is trying to swim laps) and is able to crawl normally when he wants to.  He has learned to pull himself up to the couch but doesn't really know what to do when he gets there so we have had quite a few spills the past few days!  He is sitting up much better but still hasn't figured out that he can roll over from his belly to his back.  I think he just rolls onto his belly to get in crawling position and could care less about getting back onto his back!
Tegan still loves to eat everything and anything!  He is starting to get sick of baby food so we are venturing out into the world of real food and so far we have not found anything that he doesn't like!
Tegan currently loves: laughing with his brother, playing with paper, cruising around the house in his walker, reading books, laying on the couch with Dad to go to bed, following Mom around the house, his sippy cup, and playing with his toys!
We love you little man...now stop growing up so fast!!

Taking Jake to the MTC

On January 18th, we got to go with my family to drop my youngest brother Jake off at the MTC so that he can serve a mission for the next 2 years in Mexico.
