March...via Instagram

Since I finally caved and upgraded to an IPhone I decided I should give Instagram a try...and of course I love it!!  It is just like Facebook but without all those annoying ads...plus it is awesome for documenting those little life events that don't require an entire blog post!
So here is our Instagram update for the month of March!
Ice Cream is definitely a favorite in this house!
Paxton found a paintbrush in the junk drawer and was begging to paint something...luckily I had some of these Spiderman paint with water pages in the craft cupboard.  I loved these when I was a kid!
I have no words for this picture except that never in my life did I think I would be in a store with my kid dressed in a costume with his stuffed animal who is also dressed in a costume.  All these things I said I would never do...then I had kids!
Tegan is such a mess maker...not the kind of cereal he wanted so what does he do empty it out on the floor of course!
Paxton and I were making pizza rolls the other day and Pax was putting on the pepperoni...I went to roll this one up and noticed this!
Poor Tegan...he has had a rough month.  He had croup, pink eye and an ear infection all in the span of 5 days.
Homework Time...we LOVE our dot markers, makes homework faster and definitely more fun!
We got to go to Donkey Basketball for a high school fundraiser for my cousin Corbin (that isn't him but I didn't get a good picture of him.)  It was pretty entertaining to see all these crazy high school kids try to play basketball while riding donkeys...the boys were pretty fascinated!

Paxton made up his own version of Donkey Basketball!
We celebrated Easter in style!

Hamberlin Family Easter Party

Andy's family loves to celebrate holidays and Easter is no exception!!  The day before Easter we had a big family Easter party at Mitchell and Eliza's house in West Valley.
My little Easter bunny helped me make so yummy Easter treats!
We made Easter baskets with Easter eggs (rice krispies with M&M's)
First thing on the agenda and any family party...food!!

And always a little fun!!

The kids were waiting so patiently while the adults hid the eggs.  It took awhile because there were about 500 eggs to hide!
THE HUNT
Tegan didn't really get it at first but once he realized that there was candy in those eggs...he couldn't pick them up fast enough!

Since Paxton had just had his Easter egg hunt at school he knew exactly what to do and had his basket filled in no time!

Paxton and Tegan and all of their eggs...I think they got about 30 eggs each!

Paxton was pretty excited to show Dad all of his eggs!!

Next...on to dying eggs!
Eliza and Salena had boiled about 200 eggs so there were plenty of eggs to go around!

After all of that work it was definitely time for a treat!

Preschool Easter Party

Paxton has been so excited about getting to have another party in preschool!  We have been talking a lot about Easter and had gone an bought his Easter eggs for the egg hunt and filled them with candy...he knows if there is candy involved it is definitely going to be fun!
The did different Easter themed activities at each of their small groups.
At one they made an Easter hat!

At another they made a bunny mask...

And at another they made Easter bags to put all of their candy in!

Then came the time they had all been waiting for!  The Easter egg hunt!  The teachers ask each kid to bring a dozen filled Easter eggs...of course everybody brought more so there ended up being about 300 eggs for 14 kids!  The got plenty of candy!!

Paxton and Teague...so excited to dig into their Easter candy!

St. Patrick's Day

While we were eating birthday cake the St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun came and left golden treasures all over the front yard for the kids to find!

They were pretty excited about their treasures!!

Happy Birthday Andy and Jacob

Since we were in Richfield for Andy's birthday we celebrated it with his family a week late...on St. Patrick's Day.  The Hamberlin's really know how to celebrate their holidays so we combined all the March birthdays (Andy, Jacob, Jordan, and Mason) and St. Patrick's Day into one big corned beef, cabbage, and birthday cake feast!
Of course I was the one who forgot to wear green (as did Andy and Paxton) so we got a few pinches from the kids as soon as we got their!  I quickly found a green marker and put some dots on our hands and we were good to go!

Singing Happy Birthday!

Andy and Jacob getting ready to blow out their candles...with the help of lots of kids!
Paxton loved the striped cake that Jordan picked out for his birthday...pretty cool!
