6 Months Old

Seriously 6 months old already...I can not believe that 6 months have flown by so fast but boy has it been fun! Paxton had his half birthday on January 12th. We took him to the doctor yesterday and were excited to find out his 6 month stats! He now weighs in at 16 pounds 13 ounces and is 27 inches tall. Our poor boy had to get 4 shots yesterday and then when we got home we realized that his first little tooth had finally popped through! He was pretty miserable...

At 6 months Paxton has grown up so much! He is currently:

  • Wearing size 3 diapers and size 6 month clothes
  • Is rolling over like crazy...both ways...all over our house
  • Can sit up unassisted
  • Love to get attention! His cute little whine has turned into a high pitch squeal that he likes to use to get peoples attention
  • Loves to watch Yo Gabba Gabba...who know they made such crazy shows these days
  • Is starting to clap his hands together with our help
  • Has started eating more solid food...we have made it from rice cereal to green beans and are shooting for sweet potatoes tomorrow
  • Has 1 tooth!!
We love this little stinker!!

Dinner Time!!

This is what happens when Dad takes over dinner!
Starts off good... Then Paxton starts playing in his food...
Then he takes over the spoon...
Before you know it he is eating straight out of the bowl...
And by the end we all look and feel like this!!

Christmas 2009

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
I can't believe Christmas has come and gone again. We were able to spend the holidays in Richfield with the whole Brown Family (minus Jeffrey who is on his mission) 17 people in all. We started off the adventure traveling down to Richfield on Tuesday in the middle of a snow storm. Unfortunately the snowplows were not in a huge hurry to get to Richfield like we were. By the time we got to Scipio we realized we were not going to make it so we spent a long TV-less night at the Scipio Super 8 Hotel praying and hoping that they would get the roads plowed by the morning! We finally did make it down to Richfield the next morning and definitely enjoyed our vacation there!
Christmas Highlights 2009!
Paxton was sleepy and hungry for the first part of opening presents but once he got a bottle from dad he was excited and ready to go!
He got a ton of presents his favorite being this jumparoo from his Grandma and Grandpa! We were totally spoiled this year. Andy got a Wii and accessories as well as a shop vac, tools, and a ton of other stuff. I got a shark steam mop, carpet cleaner, CD player for my kitchen, a few pairs of new shoes and a ton of other stuff...
Paxton got a whole load of presents!!
We enjoyed spending time with the fam including all of the Brown cousins!
*Sidenote-Paxton and his cousin Mana are 2 1/2 months apart Paxton being older, we weighed them at my dad's clinic while we were down there and Mana outweighs Pax by about 7 ounces and they are pretty close to the same height.

We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas as much as we did ours!!

1st Christmas

I always love to look at old pictures of Andy and I at the stages that Paxton is in now and compare who he looks like. Here are pictures of each of us on our 1st Christmas!

Getting Ready for Christmas...

Early in December we decided to buy our first fake Christmas tree and get the house all set up for Christmas...of course we had quite a bit of help from this little guy!
He wanted to eat the ornaments! Tackle Santa!
And open the presents!
During the middle of December my friend Cathy got married in the SLC Temple. I always love to see the tree in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
Paxton also got to meet Santa for the first time this year. The first time he met Santa, at the Hamberlin Family Christmas Party, he was not super impressed and cried. I had my sister bring him to school to try again and this time he was pretty happy...could have been all the kids talking to him or maybe that this Santa had such a familiar voice (it was Andy's best friend Landon. He kept looking around like "I know this voice but where is Uncle Landon?")

Our Crazy Week

We have had a crazy week at our house!! 2 weeks ago our washer broke (totally my fault) but I am a freak when it comes to doing laundry and not being able to do it on my scheduled day was a little hard on me.
Then we get this...

We were a little unprepared for the first big snow storm of the year. We should have known it was going to hit us hard because we live so close to the canyon but we didn't. On Tuesday morning (after about 12 inches of snow) I could not get my car out of the driveway so Andy got to stay home from work with Paxton so that could go to work. Then on Friday I was so excited because our washer was getting fixed that morning but then we woke up to no water and frozen pipes. $200, 20 minutes, and a hole in the wall later we finally had water!
Luckily the week ended with the always entertaining Meyer Family Christmas Party! Here are some pictures from the big event!

The Prize Table...really a bunch of junk but the little kids LOVE it!

5 Months Old

Paxton turned 5 months old on Saturday...it is crazy how fast time flies by. He is currently weight in at 16 pounds (34%) and is 26 inches long (48%). He is growing up so fast!! Here are some pictures of us from the family Christmas party over the weekend and Pax and dad getting ready for church this morning!

During this past month Paxton has discovered some new things!
  • His voice...I think that all the moaning and groaning from when he was sick has taught him to love the sounds of his own voice. Unfortunately now it just comes out in a high pitched whine/screech.
  • His toes...he loves to play with his toes but can't quite get them up to his mouth yet.
  • Sitting up...he is trying to learn to sit up. He has good balance but can't get up straight.

We are so excited to be able to spend Christmas with our little guy...I'm sure he won't get that spoiled...
