Tegan*5 Months

Tegan is 5 months old already!! Seriously...where does the time go! Here is a little update about our little man! This boy LOVES to eat...he has mastered rice cereal and has now moved onto oatmeal, all kinds of baby food and his new favorite treat...biscuits (and maybe the ice cream his dad let him eat the other day!) He kicked his big brother out of the highchair and loves to be a big boy eating meals with the rest of the family! Tegan is growing like crazy! He currently weighs 19 pounds and is 27 1/2 inches long! He wears size 4 diapers and is in 9 month clothes!
Tegan is a pretty active boy! He loves his bouncer and could jump and "skate" in that thing for hours...although he does wear himself out once in a while! He is still working on rolling over and sitting up but at least he will tolerate tummy time now which is progress! He has also recently discovered his toes and loves to try to get them in his mouth!

Here are some more fun facts about Tegan!

  • He loves to hear his own voice and is always making noise...he has the cutest laugh!

  • He definitely likes attention and will let you know if he feels neglected!

  • He is starting to love toys, especially rattles and things that sing or make lots of noise!

  • Tegan is sleeping through the night as long as he is wrapped up tight and has his pacifier!

We love you little man!!

My Big Helper

Paxton has become such a big boy the past couple of months! I am constantly amazed at how much he is learning and growing! Every day he comes up with something new and funny to say and it quickly becomes the phrase of the day which he repeats a million times! Today's saying...(long dramatic sigh) follow by "so funny mom!" We just love this kid!! He loves to help clean up and is actually pretty good at it! For the past few months we have made him pick up his room every night before he goes to bed...but now he wants to help dust and sweep and wipe the floor! It is fun to have a helper!
He also loves to help in the kitchen, which I love...most of the time!

He also helped me set the table the other day! I love how well everything was lined up and the table...he definitely gets that from me!

Another one of his favorite things to do lately is to play the IPAD! I can't believe how well he can work that thing! He loves his "puter" and can find and play many games including color dots, matching pictures, and reading "books!"

Rice Cereal

At Tegan's 4 month well check, the doctor gave us the okay to go ahead and start rice cereal! I was pretty skeptical because we waited until 6 months with Paxton and he hated rice cereal and baby food. Well our little chubster Tegan is totally opposite! He LOVES rice cereal and LOVES baby food...I think he just LOVES to eat no matter what it is!!

He he is taking his first bite of rice cereal...swallowed it all and practically begged for more! This little man definitely isn't going to go hungry!

I think he thinks that the food comes out of his fingers because every time I take to long to get him another bite he puts one of his fingers in his mouth and starts sucking it like crazy

Since we started rice cereal he has also tried peas, green beans, applesauce, and peaches and LOVED it all! Good job Little Man!!

Photography...by Paxton

Paxton has discovered a new favorite toy at our house...and why not it combines 2 great things pushing buttons and flashing lights! It seems like every time I go to take a picture of something I get a message saying that our memory card is full and have to erase 10-20 self portraits of Paxton!

Here are some of the more recent examples of Paxton's stellar photography skills!!

PS...We do dress our children but Paxton does not sleep if he wears a shirt to bed (I know it is strange but true) and most of his photography sessions apparently occur right before bedtime hence his nakedness in all of these pictures!

Pool Party

This week was the Page Ward Pool Party at the Payson Pool (say that one 5 times fast!) and Tegan's first time swimming! We recruited Jessica to come with us to help keep an eye on our little water babies! Tegan looked so stinking cute in his little swim outfit!
This was Tegan's first dip into the water...it was 7:30 at night so the water was a little bit cold but he did surprisingly well! We put him in his little floaty and took a few trips down the lazy river. Finally he started to get cold and tired so we decided it was time to get out and warm up!

While Tegan and I dried off Jessica, Pax, and Andy floated the lazy river...

And braved the big water slides!!

Once Tegan was warm again he crashed...

And before long Paxton was shivering and his lips were turning blue so we knew it was time to head home! After fun nights like this I always wish we would have made it to the pool more during the summer...then I drove by today and there was about a million people there and I remembered why I like the ward pool party so much...lots fewer people and so much more fun!!

Tegan*4 Months

Tegan turned 4 months old on August 13th! He has grown so much in the past month...he is such a sweet, loving, funny boy! His funny personality is starting to come out! He is happy all of the time unless he is hungry and we can easily get him to laugh just by smiling at him. He definitely has a feisty side...when he is hungry he will let you know and when he wants some attention he will definitely let you know it!!
We took him to the doctor for his 4 month well check and were not too surprised to learn that he is big for his age! He currently weighs 16 pounds 6 ounces (78%) and is 27 inches long (97%)! Tegan is doing much better at holding his head up and loves to sit in him bumbo and in between the couch cushions. He loves eating and is starting to play with toys especially the ones on his activity mat! He also loves cuddling, kisses, and his brother!
Tegan does not love tummy time, when we try to make him practice rolling over, and not getting attention! We just love having T in our family and can't wait to see what our little chubbers learns to do this next month!!

Sevier County Fair

While we were in Richfield last weekend we decided to go check out the sights at the Sevier County Fair. Unfortunately we were too late to see all of the farm animals but we did catch the Australian Zoo Animal Show, the exhibit hall and the fair food! They had a little kids zone where the kids could participate in a bunch of different farm activities!

Paxton got to feed the cow...
Play in the corn...

He was supposed to gather eggs from the chickens but he was afraid of them...

and ride the tractor (he preferred to ride it like this rather than sit on the seat!)

He really wanted to climb on the big tractor but finally settled for taking a picture with it!

The best part of the fair...the food!! Andy bought himself a treat and only got to take one bite before Paxton took it over and chowed it down...there is nothing that says small town county fair like fried Twinkies!!
