Summer Fun

Summer is winding down and I start working again tomorrow.  I am a tinsy bit excited to go back but an definitely going to miss spending all day with my boys!!  Everybody asks, "What did you do over the summer."  Well we didn't do much and didn't really go anywhere too exciting but we did have a good time!  Here are some of my favorite moments from this summer!

We went to my Aunt's house in Goshen...Tegan must have remembered that she always has a big bucket of cheese balls because 2 minutes after we walked in the door I went in the kitchen and found this little man chowing down!!

 One afternoon, after a really long day with the boys I sent them downstairs to watch a movie.  I came up to get them drinks and 1 minute later went down and they were already sound asleep sitting up!  So dang cute!

 Paxton was obsessed with this shirt for about a week this summer...he would find it and put it over his clothes and wear it around the house!

 Remember when we were kids and we used to have these paint with water things...well I found some Spiderman ones at Seagull Book and knew Paxton would love them!  Unfortunately he didn't love them as much as I thought because he kept ripping them from painting too hard...oh well kept him entertained for a while!

 Paxton also grew a little bit this summer and his legs are finally long enough that he can ride his tricycle all by himself!  He loves to cruise down the driveway so we thought we better get him a helmet in case of a wreck...luckily we found this one for $2 at KMart!!  He loves to go on bike rides and can actually ride for a few blocks before getting tired!

 Tegan is also pretty obsessed with hats!  Whenever Andy is not wearing a hat Tegan goes into our room and finds one and brings it to him to put on! 

 Paxton told me one day, "Take my picture!"  This is what I got...he said it is his spooky face!

 And of course we played a whole lot of IPAD this summer!  Andy and I love to play a few rounds of Ticket to Ride after the kids are in bed and the boys love to play the Disney Channel games and shows!

 We also did a whole lot of eating!!  Paxton loves chocolate...chocolate on his toast, pancakes, anything you can put it on!  Takes after his mom I guess!

Tegan's Sleeping Habits

Tegan is such a crazy sleeper...you never know what you are going to find when he wakes up in the morning or from naps!

The poor little guy took a nose dive off Aunt Anita's back porch on Sunday...just 3 weeks before Jessica's wedding and family pictures!!

Paxton's New Backpack

We are so excited for Paxton to start preschool this fall!!  All summer we have been trying to get him prepared for school and of course the first thing that we had to do was to get him a backpack!  I am not a huge fan of "character" stuff so we decided to go for his favorite thing...baseball! 

I found this darling little backpack at Pottey Barn and got his name and a baseball patch put on it!  I was not too pleased when it came in the mail and was so small it couldn't even hold a folder but oh well Paxton loves it!  The next day I caught him taking pictures of his backpack and cup...these are 3 of about 20 pictures he took!

 He is so proud of his new backpack and has worn it everyday since...I don't know if it is going to make it clear until September! 

4 Years!!

For our 4th Anniversary we decided to leave the boys with my parents and head down to St. George!  Our first stop was to see Aladdin at Tuacahn!  I have never been there before and loved it (minus the 100 degree heat!)

 Part of the show was in 3D so we had to show off our 3D glasses!

 

 We stayed at the Wingate Hotel and I was pretty impressed!  I could easily trade my bed for this...

 

 And my bathroom for this!!

 

Happy Anniversary Babe!!  It has been an awesome 4 years and I am so glad that we get to spend many many more together!!

Speedy Spaniard

When Andy said he wanted to sign up for the Speedy Spaniard 10K this year I thought he was CRAZY!!  Who in the world wants to run 6.2 miles...apparently my husband!!

Andy hates this picture because it looks like he has no arms and only 1 leg!

I am so proud of him...not only did he run the whole time but he met his goal of finishing in under an hour with 59 Minutes and 6 seconds!!  Great job Babe!!

Spanish Fork Rodeo

We were excited to be able to take the boys to the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo!!  I wasn't sure what to expect or if they would even like it...but I was pleasantly surprised!!

Tegan loved people watching (one of my favorite hobbies at these type of things) and charming all of the people sitting around us!

 And Paxton loved watching the cowboys and all of the animals!  I kept asking him throughout the night, "Do you want to ride a horse?  Do you want to ride a cow?  Do you want to ride a sheep?"  Every time he adamantly said "No!!"  Finally as the rodeo was ending I asked him again, "Do you want to ride a buckin bronco?"  He replied with, "No, I want to ride a duck!!"  Apparently we are going for a little safer smaller option!

 One of my favorite parts was watching the Charo (?), the cowboy from Mexico...he was pretty amazing!

Family Pictures 2012

I decided this year I wanted something a little different for family pictures...I had heard a lot of good things about Fotofly in Draper so we decided to give it a try!  I was pretty impressed...the photographer was great, the boys were showing off to the best of their abilities and that combination made for some pretty good pictures!  Here are just a few of the good ones!
