A Baby Shower for Paxton

My mom and sisters came on on Saturday June 20th to throw a baby shower for me and Paxton. I really didn't want to have one because I felt bad that I had just barely had a bunch of bridal showers this same time a year ago. Plus I was worried that no one would come except our families and that they would only come out of obligation!
It actually turned out to be really fun and Paxton got spoiled. Alot of friends from college and work as well as family were able to make it to Payson for the shower despite the complete downpour that started right at 5:00! Good thing we have an empty basement because we were planning on having it in our backyard and it was a downpour the whole time.
Here are some of the details from the shower (mostly for my quickly fading memory)...

• Saturday June 20, 2009 at our house
• Food: Chicken Croissant Sandwiches, Bowtie Pasta Salad, Fruit, Yummy Desserts, and Sprite and Sherbet
• Presents for Paxton: Tons of Cute Clothes (of course), Blankets, Books, Bath Stuff, Diapers and Wipes, and a Toy Rocking Horse...among many other things
• Games: Since I am not too into shower games we just had everyone guess the baby's birth date, height, and weight and a cute gift basket will be given to the winner. Thanks alot to all of you who guessed over 9 pounds and that I would go overdue...I just don't think that is going to happen...at least that is what I keep telling myself!

Thanks to all of you who braved the elements to come out and celebrate Paxton with us! Andy and I appreciate your generosity so much and are so excited to get the little guy here so he can use all of the stuff you gave us!

QUICK UPDATE: I spent the whole week last week laying low so that this baby wouldn't come while my mom was out of town. Well she's back and I got too bored last week so no more laying around! The car seat is in, the bag is pretty much packed and I'm off to get my toes done to get out of this house!
