Happy Birthday?

I turned 29 on June 17th. We started off the morning bright and early (7 am) at the hospital with Paxton while he got tubes.
My sister was in town so we decided to go up to American Fork and do some shopping that afternoon. The shopping was fun but unfortunately on the way home one of my biggest fears happened...we got a flat tire on the freeway in the middle of rush hour! I have always been so scared that that would happen to me when I was driving alone with Paxton so if it had to happen at least my sisters were there. Since Andy was at work and my brother in law Pila was taking a test...we made my sister call one of the boys that she "hangs out" with to come change the tire (it was a good excuse to meet him!!) We must have been quite a sight...3 girls and 2 babies sitting on the side of the freeway during rush hour!
Paxton and I Jamie and Mana Jamie and Jessica
Jessica thinking she could change the tire...that lasted about 5 seconds
Don't worry we finally made it home about an hour and a half later and now Jessica has to make this boy some dinner..anyone know how to cook asparagus?

haha I wish that I could have drove by and seen you guys stranded on the side of the road. I would have laughed so hard.... and then, I would have helped you :)

At least you got a fear out of the way with no serious injuries! That's a big plus. I had a car light on fire in SLC on the freeway during rush hour. NOT FUN!

Asparagus: let it marinate in a couple of Tbsp. of soy sauce and olive oil, sprinkled with garlic salt for a couple of hours. Preheat a grill on low, and put them so the tips are not directly over a lit burner, but the fat ends are. Let them cook there for about 5 minutes, then turn them over for another couple of minutes. It's the only way to eat asparagus, in my opinion.
