December 19th was a long awaited day in our house! Uncle Jake finally came home from his mission to Mexico.
It started off to be a crazy day with a huge ice/snow storm hitting Utah the night before and into the morning. We woke up to news that they had shut down the airport and didn't know when or if it was going to open back up. Luckily the snow let up a little, the airport opened back up, and with some very cautious driving we were able to make it to Salt Lake. Jake's flight was slightly delayed and it took him a while to get off the plane (probably on purpose!!) so the kids were getting quite restless and we were just ready to see his face!
Finally after a long wait he was home!! Paxton was so excited to see him!
Tegan was not quite sure about Uncle Jake...he was only 8 months old when Jake left so he really only knew him from pictures!
We are glad to have Jake home safe and sound...now we just wonder how long it is going to take to break the boys of their habit of praying for "Jakee in Mexico!"
