7 Months Old
Paxton turned 7 months old on February 12th. Every month I say how much he has grown and how much I love this age...but I really do love this age! He is getting so big and is learning how to do so many new things everyday.
Here is a little snapshot of Paxton at 7 months:
He still has a very mellow personality, but will definitely let you know if he wants something. He is a huge flirt and loves to smile at all of the girls...the young women in our ward LOVE him!
He has finally figured out his bouncer and he loves to bounce and swing and play with all of the toys. Between that Yo Gabba Gabba and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse we can keep him pretty entertained when we want to get something done!
He is all over the place! He can roll anywhere and if we leave him for a second we will often find him like this waiting for us to get him out. He is also getting pretty close to crawling. He can army crawl pretty well and once in a while he can get his bum up in the air but he just can't quite figure out what to do after that!
He has popped out 2 almost 3 teeth on the top and 1 more tooth on the bottom, all in the past week, bringing his total up to 4 (almost 5) teeth. Needless to say it was a long week for us last week! In this not so flattering picture you can see one of his new big top teeth!
At last check Paxton weighs in at 18 pounds 4 ounces and is still 27 inches long. He is in size 4 diapers and is wearing size 6-9 month clothes.

He loves his nightime routine of a bath, book with day, bottle and bed. He always has to have his blanket the right way and be put in bed so that he can touch his soft crib bumper.
We have started giving Pax baths in the tub and he is not so into it but I think that once we aren't so nervous about it he will relax a little bit!
Oh one more new thing and then I promise I will stop...Pax also recently learned how to blow raspberries with his lips and tongue. When he wakes up in the morning, instead of crying, we can usually hear him blowing raspberries or talking to himself in his bed until we go in and get him.

Paxton's 6 Month Pictures
My very talented friend from school, Sarah, took Paxton's pictures for us last week. I can't believe how well they turned out especially considering he was sick!

Mother Bear
Well we started out this little adventure in x-ray where we waited "in line" with um...no one, for one hour for a 2 minute x-ray. By then I was a little angry. I was missing dinner with my friends. Paxton was hungry. Andy was worried. Well it only got worse...We headed down to respiratory for the RSV swab.
Let me just preface this with reminding you that we did not go to the doctor when we were going up...the doctor came to us, made a quick diagnosis and directed us to "the box" to find the medicine we needed. I heard the lady call respiratory and tell her that she had 2 people waiting, one for a nasal suction and one for an RSV swab. To make a long story we headed up stairs to mother and baby, she told me to get Paxton undressed and she put a pillow over his arms and chest and told me to lay on top of him and hold his head down. In my mind I kept thinking "really all of this for an RSV swab?" Well before I knew it she was squirting water down Paxton's nose and out of no where she whips out this tube and shoves it down his nose into his throat. Well turns out she didn't read the test order and did the nasal suction on Paxton and I assume the RSV swab on the other boy who went before us. I have never been so angry with someone in my life! By the time it was over Paxton was bawling, I was bawling, the lady just kept telling me that I should have told her she was doing the wrong thing. That mother bear instinct in me came out and it was all I could do to not punch her in the face for putting my son through all of that for nothing and then blaming it on me for not telling her how to do her job.
Oh don't you worry a complaint was filed...a call to the billing department was made (cause you better believe I am not paying for that) and after all that Paxton didn't have RSV after all...just a mild case of viral pneumonia. Luckily he is feeling much better but I am still a little fired up about a "quick" 4 hour trip to the hospital where they couldn't even get the test right but somehow it was all my fault!
Suggestions Please!!
Switching Paxton to cereal and baby food has been quite a chore for us!! We wish that when he saw that spoon coming towards his mouth we would see this face...
But the second he sees the food his lips clamp shut. Then when we finally get him to open up (which typically requires rapping, singing, tricking, or opening his mouth for him) the food goes in and we get this...
He just sits there with the food in his mouth refusing to swallow until he finally gags.
We have tried different chairs, different foods, different mixtures, different temperatures...practically everything!!
Suggestions please...what has worked for you?

6 Months Old
Seriously 6 months old already...I can not believe that 6 months have flown by so fast but boy has it been fun! Paxton had his half birthday on January 12th. We took him to the doctor yesterday and were excited to find out his 6 month stats! He now weighs in at 16 pounds 13 ounces and is 27 inches tall. Our poor boy had to get 4 shots yesterday and then when we got home we realized that his first little tooth had finally popped through! He was pretty miserable...
At 6 months Paxton has grown up so much! He is currently:
- Wearing size 3 diapers and size 6 month clothes
- Is rolling over like crazy...both ways...all over our house
- Can sit up unassisted
- Love to get attention! His cute little whine has turned into a high pitch squeal that he likes to use to get peoples attention
- Loves to watch Yo Gabba Gabba...who know they made such crazy shows these days
- Is starting to clap his hands together with our help
- Has started eating more solid food...we have made it from rice cereal to green beans and are shooting for sweet potatoes tomorrow
- Has 1 tooth!!
